Every day hundreds of new apps make their debut on the App Store, and hundreds more are updated or reduced in price. We have sifted through the noise and highlighted those select few that might be worth your attention.

Game Debuts

The Tiny Bang Story – ($1.99)

A low-impact adventure full of brain-teasing puzzles, The Tiny Bang Story sends you on a quest to reassemble the shattered Tiny Planet after it gets hit by a meteor.

Price Drops

SmartGo Kifu – ($9.99)

Ranking as one of the most expensive apps in the Store for years, SmartGo Kifu normally sits at an intimidating price tag of 20 dollars. That nearly stratospheric asking price compared to most other apps has ensured that its intended audience of dedicated, serious Go players have been pretty much the only people to pay attention to it. It's half off right now, though, so maybe a few more people will want to take the plunge.

iStunt 2: Snowboard – (Free)

Then, on the other extreme of the App Store spectrum, we've got a freebie casual snowboarding design from Miniclip – about as far removed from 20-dollar Go as you can get.

OLO Game – (Free)

Also free right now is the visually minimalist OLO game, a combination of air hockey, shuffleboard and Olympic curling meant for casual multiplayer competition.

Hunters 2 – ($0.99)

And rounding out our first update of September is Hunters 2, a top-rated, top-down turn-based strategy design that's dropped down to just 20% of its normal price.

That's all for now! If you haven't already, consider subscribing to the App Store Update via email. It's extra convenient!
