Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD came to PlayStation 3 back in late 2011, and it was pretty good. And another Oddworld game, Munch’s Oddysee HD, is slated for release on PlayStation 3 later this year.

We also know that, in addition to coming out on PS3, both games are also PlayStation Vita-bound. The two titles are currently in the process of being ported, but we’ve had nothing but nebulous indications as to when we may expect those games to come to Vita. But now, it looks like we have an answer… sort of.

VideoGamer.com points out a post on the official Facebook page for Oddworld.

“Oddworld on PlayStation VITA...” the short post begins. “Both Stranger’s Wrath HD and Munch’s Oddysee HD are coming to VITA very soon, we just need to get them finished up and through Sony QA before we can release them. But I don’t think you’ll have to hold your breathes [sic] too long.”

Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee originally came to Xbox in 2001, early in the console's lifecycle. Oppositely, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath originally came to Xbox late in its lifecycle in early 2005. And with Vita lacking a robust library of upcoming games, word of anything coming to Sony’s new handheld is, indeed, good news.
