Leaked technical details for Google's next Galaxy Nexus phone (to be produced by Samsung) appeared today on SamMobile.

The device, referred to as the GT-I9260 under the heading "Superior," will  feature the same 4.65" Super AMOLED display as the current Galaxy Nexus, and it will still run on a dual-core A9 processor, with a moderate performance bump from 1.2 to 1.5 GHz.

The biggest improvements coming are the phone's front- and rear-facing cameras - from 1.3 and 5 megapixels (respectively) up to 1.9 and 8 MP (the same as Samsung's Galaxy S III). The sequel to the Galaxy Nexus will also have a microSD slot, allowing expansion beyond the current 16 GB limit.

A release date and pricing details are probably a few months off. Given that the phone isn't trying to dethrone Samsung's line of high-end Galaxy handsets, we're betting on a competitive (i.e. low) price, and possibly a release announcement after the next few months' iPhone fervor have subsided.
